How do we get to Carinya? 
We are conveniently located close to Byron Bay town centre and Bangalow. It's only a 10-minute drive from Byron Bay town centre and a 5-minute drive from Bangalow. If you're arriving by plane, the nearest airport is Ballina Byron airport, which is only a 25-minute drive away. Alternatively, Gold Coast airport is a 55-minute drive from the property. There are car hire services at both airports as well as shuttle transfer services, we suggest booking in advance. 

What is the minimum stay? 
We require a 2 night minimum stay. During peak holiday times there is a minimum 7 night stay.

What amenities are provided in the villas?
Our villas at Carinya Byron Bay are well equipped with a range of amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. Each villa features a flat-screen TV, cooking utensils, a microwave, a Nespresso machine, and complimentary coffee and tea, sugar, salt, and pepper. We also provide luxury appointed linen, towels and beach towels, ceiling fans, and additional blankets for added comfort during the winter months. We also have a travel cot and highchair available for guests. 

Is there mobile / Wifi reception? 
All of our villas have WIFI via NBN satellite. And depending on your individual carrier, mobile reception may be limited, so we encourage you to either connect via WiFi or switch off and relax.

How private are the villas at Carinya?
Carinya Byron Bay offers six villas, each one meticulously designed with privacy as a top priority. The villas are strategically positioned on the property to ensure maximum seclusion and tranquility. The landscaping has also been thoughtfully planned, with lush greenery and foliage surrounding each villa to create a serene and peaceful environment.

What are the check-in/check-out times? 
Check in time is 3pm and check out time is 10am.

Can I have an early check-in / late check-out?
We can only offer early check in or a late check out when available in order to ensure we maintain the highest standard of service possible. Guests who stay beyond check out time without a prior arrangement confirmed will be charged an additional departure fee.

What is your payment policy?
A 25% deposit is required at time of booking, the remaining 75% will be charged 5 days before your arrival.

What is your cancellation policy?
You can cancel or modify your booking until 5 days before your arrival date. A full cancellation fee of 100% of the reservation applies if you cancel your booking in the 5 days, including no-shows.

Do you accept group bookings?
With six villas available, we can comfortably accommodate up to 24 people. Carinya Byron Bay is the perfect spot to get ready for any event, with ample space and stunning views. Whether you're relaxing on the deck at sunset or exploring the local attractions, you and your group will have an unforgettable experience.

Is there parking available?
Each villa has two parking spaces, except the accessible villa that has one parking space. If additional parking is needed just let us know and we can advise you on where on the property driveway is best to park.

Is it necessary to have a car when staying at Carinya?
While it is possible to hail a taxi or use ride-sharing services such as Uber when staying at Carinya Byron Bay, we highly recommend having a car to fully explore and enjoy the area. Having your own vehicle gives you the flexibility to come and go as you please, and to easily visit the many nearby attractions and beaches. Additionally, the property provides free on-site parking for guests with cars. If you do choose to use a taxi or ride-sharing service, please be aware that wait times may vary depending on availability.

Can we bring pets? 
For the safety of our animals, local wildlife and the upkeep of our villas, we do not permit guests to bring their pets.

Do you cater for people with mobility impairments?
Yes, we do. We have one fully accessible villa which meets the Australian Standard 1428.1 for accessibility. This villa is equipped with various features that make it easier for people with mobility impairments to move around comfortably, including wider doorways, handrails, and a roll-in shower.
